Flippy FAQ’s

Do I need to buy new fryers, or does Flippy work with what I already have?
Flippy is built to fit around your existing fryers. It is compatible with several of the most widely used commercial fryer models including Frymaster, Henny Penny, and Pitco, so there is a good chance your kitchen is already set up for it. Your Miso rep will walk through compatibility during your initial call. You can also find our Spec sheet for download in the resources section. 
Will Flippy fit in my kitchen?
In most cases, yes! The standard Flippy configuration starts at just 9.5 feet of wall space and is designed to install under your existing hood and Ansul system. It is built to work within a typical commercial kitchen without requiring major layout changes. A Miso team member will perform a site survey to confirm 
How long does installation take? Will I need to shut down?
Installation is typically completed overnight so your kitchen keeps running. From first conversation to fully operational, we can have your location are up and running within 90 days. Miso manages the installation planning and has a team on-site during and after to make sure everything goes smoothly. 
Can Flippy handle my full menu, including limited-time offers?
Absolutely. Flippy is designed to cook anything a human can as well as manage multiple fried items simultaneously and can learn new menu items in as little as 5 to 7 days. Seasonal changes and limited-time offers can be added in as little as 7 days.
What does support look like after installation?
You are never on your own. Every Flippy deployment includes 24/7 technical support in English and Spanish, software updates, and ongoing maintenance. Miso also provides hands-on and remote training so your team feels confident from day one and long after.
