Nancy Luna from Food on Demand recently checked out our pop-up restaurant, CaliExpress by Flippy, in Pasadena, California. And guess what? She was blown away by our robot-run kitchen!
At first, CaliExpress looks like your regular fast-food joint, but things get interesting when you see our robots in action. One visitor, Ann Rochanayon, summed it up perfectly: “It looks normal,” but her eyes lit up when she saw our Flippy robot working its magic.
What Makes CaliExpress Special?
Flippy is the real MVP here, frying up about 250 pounds of fries per hour. Our VP of Product Development, Alana Abbitt, explained, “The fry station is one of the hardest positions to fill. Flippy helps free up more of employees’ time to do other tasks.”
We’re super excited to roll out an upgraded version of Flippy later this year. This new model is smaller, faster, and perfect for all sorts of kitchen setups. As our CTO, Bachir Kharraja, put it, “We’re shrinking the size of the unit to fit more kitchen spaces.”
